Ziegler’s parents divorced when she was only 6. She grew up in Murraysville, Pennsylvania with her older sister Maddie Ziegler, who is also a dancer and actress.

At the age of two, she started dancing at the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh. She also performed in several dance competitions.

In 2011, she began her career with the reality dance show Dance Moms alongside with her mother and sister. Then, she appeared on Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition and other dance shows.

After that, Kenzie debuted to the music industry with her first album “Mack Z” in 2014. The album reached at #7 on the iTunes’ album sales chart and #1 on the iTunes’ pop charts and the lead single of the album “Girl Party” also ranked #1 on the iTunes chart.
