Joelle Joanie “JoJo” Siwa was born on 19th May 2003, in Omaha, Nebraska. Her mother Jessalynn Siwa is a professional dance instructor and her father Dr. Tom Siwa, is a Chiropractor.

Jojo was raised in Nebraska with his brother Jayden Siwa, a vlogger. She also has a YouTube channel where she posts her day-to-day life videos and other music videos.

Jojo started learning dance at her mother’s dance studio when she was only 2 years old. After that, her mother gave her proper training to become a professional dancer.

In 2013, Jojo became widely known after entering into the list of top 5 final contestants on Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition series. Later she was selected for Abby Lee Miller’s ALDC dance competition.

She also appeared on the reality show Dance Moms with her mother for two seasons. In 2016, Jojo released her song “Boomerang” and a single “I Can Make U Dance”, which earned her the title of the Breakout Artist of the Year in 2018.

Siwa began her film career in 2018, with the role of Victoria in Blurt! movie. And in 2019 she played the role of Jay in The Angry Birds Movie 2.

Jojo signed a deal with Nickelodeon in 2017, for several shows and tours such as Lip Sync Battle Shorties, School of Rock, Ultimate Halloween Haunted House, etc along with Nick Cannon, Jace Norman, and others.
