Radric Delantic Davis was born on 12th February 1980, in Bessemer, Alabama, United States. His father Ralph Everett Dudley is a former US serviceman and mother Vicky Jean Davis is a social worker and teacher.

Davis grew up in his grandmother’s place where he spent most of his free time with his grandmother. When he was only six years, his older-half brother Victor introduced him to hip hop music by taking to a Beastie Boys, LL Cool J concert.

He first attended Jonesboro Elementary school for his primary education. In 1989, Davis moved to Atlanta with his mother and older brother where he joined Cedar Grove Elementary School. Davis was a good student throughout his school life.

He started writing songs from the age of 14 which somehow built his interest in hip hop music. And he released the song Black Tee (with Franchize Boyz hit record) and White Tee in collaboration with local rapper Young Jeezy.

In 2005, he released his debut album Trap House which was a huge success for him as an independent artist. Later, the album reached in the top 20 of the Billboard R&B Hip-Hop Album chart.

His second album Hard to Kill (2006) was also topped several album charts. The album’s hit single Freaky Gurl ranked at number 12 on the Hot Rap Tracks and number #19 on the Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs.

After that, he released two super hit mixtapes Bird Money and Writing on the Wall which earned him a contract from Warner Bros. Records. In 2009, he made over 17 guest appearances including Obsessed by Mariah Carey.

That same year he released an album The State vs. Radric Davis with Warner Bros Records. That album was a commercial success which included chart-buster singles “Wasted” (ranked number #3 on the R&B Hip-Hop Songs chart) and Spotlight.

Later, Davis released several popular hit tracks which include The Return of Mr. Zone 6, Trap Back, I’m Up, Trap God, Trap God 2, The Oddfather, and 1017 Mafia: Incarcerated.
