Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr. was born on 22 October 1998, in Compton, California, United States. He spent his childhood in the city of Atlanta, Georgia.

At an early age of eight, he started singing and making beats. While living in Compton, Ricch was a member of the Park Village Compton Crips.

He attended Carson Senior High School and later joined Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets high school. Ricch grew up listening to Future, Young Thug, Eminem, and Lil Wayne.

Career

In 2017, Ricch officially began his music career by releasing his first mixtape, Feed Tha Streets. That mixtape earned many positive reviews from the audience as well as from popular rappers.

The next year, he released an extended play “Be 4 Tha Fame” which was also a successful EP. Later that year, he appeared as a guest in Nipsey Hussle‘s PowerHouse concert in Los Angeles.
