Mark Edward Fischbach was born on 28th June 1989, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father was in the U.S. military, where he met Mark’s mother, a Korean descent.

Markiplier grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his older brother Thomas Jason. For primary education, Mark attended Milford High School, where he was a part of the school’s marching band.

In 2012, Mark joined Youtube for the first time and created a gaming channel named, Markiplier, but the channel didn’t work well. So, by the end of 2012, he created another channel MarkiplierGAME, where he started playing several actions and horror games including Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Slender: Eight Pages.

Within 2 years his channel popularity began to grow rapidly and he ranked at 61st position on NewMediaRockstars Top 100 Channels. In 2014, after completing 1 million subscribers he moved to Los Angeles and started new game plays on his channel.

After living in Los Angeles, he appeared on several collaboration videos on comedy and gaming with other popular YouTubers including PewDiePie, Jacksepticeye, and Tyler Blevins.

Now Markiplier has over 24.7 million subscribers and 12 billion video views on his YouTube channel. His channel is mainly based on gaming but he also works on comedy videos and vlogs.
