In 2017, Cardi B released her second mixtape, Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol 2. And later that year she signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records.

After that, Cardi B gave three number one singles the industry (i.e. Bodak Yellow, I Like It, Girls Like You). Her first studio album titled, Invasion of Privacy (2018), peaked at the top on various album charts and broke several streaming records.

The album later certified triple platinum by RIAA and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
