Peter Gene Hernandez “Bruno Mars” was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in the year 1985 October 8. His father’s name is Peter Hernandez and Mother’s name is Bernadette San Pedro Bayot. He spent his childhood in Waikiki neighbourhood of Honolulu.

At the age of two, his father named him Bruno. As his mother was both a singer and a dancer and father used to play rock and roll music, Mars is also interested in music and dance from his childhood days.

Mars started performing with his family’s band when he was only four. In 1990, Mars starred in the Hawaiian tabloid shopper Midweek as Little Elvis. Later in 1992 Mars appeared in the film Honeymoon in Vegas.

After his parent’s divorce Mars used to live with his brother and father and did a lot of shows in Hawaii with his father’s band. And also started playing the guitar. He performed in a group called The School Boys while reading in President Theodore Roosevelt High School in Honolulu.
